Paint. Play. Create. Repeat.

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Columbia Valley for a weekend of colour, creativity, and connection with the everinspiring Heather Pant. Known for her bold brushstrokes, vibrant palettes, and deep love for the Canadian wilderness, Heather paints the land the way it feels, not just the way it looks. Over two days, she’ll guide you through her signature approach, helping you loosen up, trust your instincts, and paint with more confidence.

Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned painter seeking fresh inspiration, this workshop is all about embracing the process, discovering new possibilities, and losing yourself in the joy of painting. No rigid rules—just guidance, encouragement, and plenty of room for your own creative voice to shine.

About the Instructor

Heather Pant has been painting professionally in acrylics and oils for over 25 years, inspired by the prairies, foothills, and mountains she calls home in Calgary, Alberta. Originally from Chicago, she has exhibited across Canada and the US, with her bold, vibrant landscapes now held in collections worldwide. Known for her lively brushwork and rich use of colour, Heather captures not just the look of the land, but the feeling of being there. An experienced and encouraging instructor, she has taught countless workshops, guiding artists of all levels to explore their creativity with confidence.

 The Weekend Experience

Day 1 – Welcome Reception & Artist’s Demo

Day 2 – Trees with Personality
Heather will guide you through painting one of her signature, stylized trees on a 36 × 12" canvas. This isn’t just about technique—it’s about finding your own rhythm, learning to layer colour, and bringing movement into your work.

Day 3 – Moraine Lake
Building on what you learned in day 1, you’ll capture the iconic Moraine Lake on a square canvas (Heather will be working on 24 × 24"). Expect to explore colour harmony, perspective, lighting, and how to weave Heather’s unique tree style into a larger landscape.
