Retreat Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can throw the occasional curve ball and even the best laid plans need to change. Our Artist Retreat cancellation policy is designed to be fair to participants, the instructor, and Art on 9th.

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL

  • Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the start date of the retreat will be eligible for a full refund of the registration fee.
  • Partial Refund: Cancellations made between 15 to 30 days before the start of the retreat will be eligible for a 50% refund of the registration fee.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made within 14 days of the retreat start date will not be eligible for a refund due to the costs incurred in preparing for your participation.
  • Transfer of Registration: If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another individual. Please notify us at least 7 days before the retreat start date to facilitate this change.
  • Exceptions for Extenuating Circumstances: We understand that unforeseen circumstances, such as severe illness or family emergencies, can occur. If you need to cancel due to such an exceptional circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss potential accommodations, which may include transferring your registration to a future event.
  • Health and Safety Provisions: In the event of government-imposed restrictions or serious health risks such as pandemics, we reserve the right to cancel the retreat. In such cases, we will provide full refunds or the option to transfer registrations to a rescheduled or future retreat.

IF WE NEED TO CANCEL

  • Insufficient Registrations: Art on 9th reserves the right to cancel a retreat if there are not enough participants to ensure a viable, enriching experience. If such a cancellation occurs, we will notify registered participants at least 10 days prior to the event start date, and a full refund will be issued.
  • Adverse Weather Conditions: In the case of severe winter weather or other hazardous conditions that would make event attendance unsafe, Art on 9th may cancel a retreat. We will endeavor to make decisions as early as possible and inform all participants. In such cases, participants will have the option to receive a full refund or transfer their registration to a rescheduled or future retreat.
