You've got questions.

We've got answers.

What are Art on 9th Artist Retreats?

They’re part workshop, part reset, part creative deep dive.

Our retreats are immersive weekend experiences designed to help you step away from your day-to-day and reconnect with your creativity. You’ll learn new techniques, get hands-on guidance, and spend time with a group of people who just get it.

No pressure. No ego. Just space to explore, learn, and create.

Where are the retreats held?

All retreats take place at the Radium Community Centre in Radium Hot Springs.

It’s a quiet, scenic setting surrounded by mountains—exactly the kind of place that helps you slow down and settle into the work.

What is the weekend schedule?

Each instructor brings their own approach, but here’s the general flow:

Friday (4:00 – 7:00 pm)
Kick things off with group instruction, introductions, and a relaxed evening session (yes—pizza and wine included).

Saturday (9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
A full day of learning, experimenting, and one-on-one coaching.

Sunday (9:00 am – 3:00 pm)
More hands-on work, refinement, and bringing it all together.

By the end of the weekend, you’ll feel it—in your work and in your confidence.

What’s included (and what’s not)?

Your registration includes:

  • All instruction
  • Group sessions + individual coaching
  • Friday evening pizza and wine

It does not include:

  • Accommodation
  • Meals outside of Friday evening

You’ll have plenty of great local options to choose from—we’ll point you in the right direction.

What do I need to bring?

You’ll bring your own supplies.

Each instructor provides a recommended supply list so you can come prepared and get the most out of your time. You’ll find it under the Artist Retreat / Supply List section on our site.

Is this for beginners or experienced artists?

Both—and everyone in between.

If you’re just starting, you’ll get the guidance and support you need to build confidence.
If you’ve been at it for years, you’ll be challenged to push your work further.

The real value? You’re not doing it alone.

How do I register?

Simple:

  • Click the Artists Retreat tab on the main navigation menu
  • Choose your retreat
  • Add it to your cart
  • Check out

You’ll get a confirmation email with everything you need to know next.

How should I prepare?

A few simple things go a long way:

  • Review your supply list early
  • Bring comfortable, studio-friendly clothing
  • Come open and ready to try things

We’ll send any retreat-specific details ahead of time so there are no surprises.

What’s the cancellation policy?

We keep it straightforward:

  • 30+ days out: Full refund
  • 15–30 days: 50% refund
  • Within 14 days: No refunds

If something comes up, we’ll always do our best to help where we can.

Can I transfer my spot?

Yes. Life happens.

You can transfer your registration to someone else up to 7 days before the retreat—just reach out and we’ll take care of it.

What if a retreat is cancelled?

If we need to cancel (weather or low registration), you’ll get at least 10 days’ notice and a full refund.

You can also choose to transfer into another retreat.

What do people usually take away from the weekend?

More than they expect.

Yes—new skills, new techniques.
But also momentum, clarity, and a renewed sense of confidence in their work.

A lot of people come back. That probably tells you something.
