Garen Drummond

From a young age, my parents encouraged me to spend time with nature which then enabled me to grow a strong love and understanding of the beautiful complexities that exist naturally in our world. My passion is to capture nature in such a way that illustrates how striking it is without disturbing its peace.

I grew up on a small acreage in Airdire, Alberta where I was exposed to a variety of different animals from horses, goats, and donkeys to chickens and wild turkeys.

From a young age, my parents encouraged me to spend time with nature which then enabled me to grow a strong love and understanding of the beautiful complexities that exist naturally in our world. As I grew older, my passion only increased. I gathered a greater understanding with time, but more importantly, I learned my responsibility to conserve wildlife and nature.

As this part of me was continuing to develop, I discovered photography. At first, I tried my hand at many different types of photography whether it was cityscapes or portraits but nothing resonated and connected with me as much as nature did. It made me feel close to something which I had grown to love immensely.

My passion is to capture nature in such a way that illustrates how striking it is without disturbing its peace.
